Use the rib tab to increase the effect of the ribs. This accessory attaches to the needle plate of your sewing machine.
The fabric is lifted by the tab during sewing, so the rib is more pronounced and visible.

Use the rib tab to increase the effect of the ribs. This accessory attaches to the needle plate of your sewing machine.
The fabric is lifted by the tab during sewing, so the rib is more pronounced and visible.
Utilization:
For thin materials, use the 7-groove rib foot and the small rib tab.
For heavier fabrics, use the 5-groove ribbing foot and large ribbing tab.
- Insert the rib foot you need for your project.
- Snap the round button on the rib tab into the round hole on the needle plate with the tab pointing toward the needle. Insert a double needle from 1.0 mm to 2.5 mm.
- On the fabric, draw the lines where you want to sew the ribs. Place the line in the center of the presser foot. Sew a little slower than usual, allowing the fabric to guide better. The tab will lift the center of the fabric to create a well-defined rib (when sewing the ribs keep the fabric slightly taut).
Tip: Spraying a light layer of spray stabilizer can make it easier to transport/guide the fabric when working on soft fabrics.
