The hem and hem folder foot can be used with a variety of hems, such as lace, embroidered edges or fabrics, and with the beautiful 7mm stitches of HUSQVARNA VIKING to achieve beautiful effects. You can make your lingerie in no time, creating elegant handkerchiefs or delicate table covers. It's easy to guide the base fabric and edge through the openings on the front side of this foot, fold the base fabric and sew the edge into place at the same time.

1. Thread the machine with regular sewing thread, or with a decorative thread, into the needle and regular sewing thread into the bobbin.
2. Choose the stitch you want to use. For example, to sew the edge on the base fabric you could use a straight stitch and a 4 mm double needle or a large decorative stitch justified on the right.
   
   Note: Decorative stitches that use forward shift are best (avoid stitches that move too far back).
   
   
3. Fold the edge of the base fabric to a height of 6 mm and iron or flatten it with your fingers.
4. Insert the folded hem of the base fabric (right side up) in the left guide and the edge (right side up); Slide the folded hem of the fabric and the edge into the presser foot before attaching the presser foot to the sewing machine.
5. Make sure the base fabric and edge slide easily through openings.
   
   Note: Light and thin fabrics and edging are the ones that guarantee the best results.
   
   
6. Attach the presser foot to the sewing machine to join and fold the hems.
7. Sew carefully and slowly. If the machine has speed control, reduce the sewing speed to easily guide the fabric and edge as you sew. Hold the fabric with your left hand and the edge with your right as you sew.
