Universal hemming foot

HEMMER FOOT

The hem is a finish that prevents fraying of the fabric, and is durable over time.
With the hemming foot you can make the hem on light and medium fabrics for clothes and home projects
without having to iron the folded fabric before sewing.

GUIDELINES

1. Select the straight point.

If necessary, iron only the beginning of the hem to 2, 3 or 4 mm wide, depending on the size of the foot.
Put the flat fabric in the groove under the foot and sew a few stitches.
Lower the needle into the fabric to hold it in place.
Now lift the foot and pass the rough edge of the fabric into the spiral of the foot.
Lower the foot and continue sewing holding the rough edge of the fabric raised in front of the foot.

2. The fabric should not slide under the right half of the foot.

3. Tips: On curled fabrics use a straight stitch.
On soft fabrics it uses a zigzag that barely covers the size in mm of the hem (if the shape of the fabric curves abruptly you can not use this foot).
