The IDT Seam Guide Foot guides the seam perfectly when joining fabrics. The presser foot allows you to keep the seam allowance at the same distance from the edge at all times. The presser foot has a metal guide 15 mm away from the central position of the needle, which is the most commonly used seam allowance for clothing. It has 4 other marks for the various seam allowances.
- Insert the IDT Seam Guide Presser Foot.
- Engage the IDT system
- Select a straight stitch
- To join fabrics; Lay out the fabric with the straight sides together.
- Place the fabric under the presser foot, with the edge aligned with the metal guide to achieve a 15 mm seam allowance.
- Start sewing. The guide will follow the hem of the fabric and the seam allowance will be perfectly straight.
- Use the other 4 red markings on the presser foot to get tighter seam allowances
