To decorate your projects by creating the chenille effect. This presser foot guides and sews the layers of fabric where you want to achieve the chenille effect.
With the chenille foot, you can embellish your work with chenille effects. This foot will allow you to guide and sew layers of chenille fabric, whenever you want to achieve the eponymous effect.
- Thread the machine up and down with regular sewing thread.
- Select a straight stitch or a zigzag stitch. Use short, narrow stitches. It is also advisable to use the three-step zigzag stitch, and set the stitch width to 1.5.
- Place the strips in the pin, as shown. With three layers of chenille strips you will get a magnificent effect!
- Insert the chenille foot.
- Engage the IDT System.
- Sew with care. The presser foot will guide the chenille layers on the fabric, on the chosen stitches; This will result in the chenille effect, with the seam forming in the middle of the stripes. (You may need to put the stabilizer under the fabric.)
- Add other strips of chenille in the same way, until the work is complete.
- Brush the strips with a stiff brush to achieve the frayed effect.
