Insert a crease in the seams and hems to achieve a custom finish. Cover the cord with fabric to achieve a special creasing. Transparency allows you to observe the placement of the drawstring and the exact placement of the stitches. You will be able to see the first line of stitches and adjust the position of the sewing needle next to the original line. Straight stitch, length 2.5.

To crease with fabric:

1. Engage the creasing foot
2. Cut obliquely or crosswise to the grain enough space to cover the crease and seam allowance.
3. Place the drawstring on the wrong side of the fabric strip and wrap the fabric over the drawstring.
4. Place fabric and cord under the creasing presser foot in the groove on the underside of the presser foot.
5. Sew. The groove guides the drawstring so that the fabric covers it evenly.

Tip: If you sew the crease on a dress or other project, adjust the position of the needle so that it can sew closer to the drawstring, to cover the first seam.

To sew the crease into a seam:

1. Engage the creasing foot
2. Place the drawstring along the seam line on the right side of the fabric and sew in place holding the drawstring in the groove.
3. Place the second piece of fabric on top with the right side joined.
4. Place fabric and creasing layers under the Creasing Foot with the drawstring in the groove on the underside of the foot. The groove will guide the drawstring when sewing.

Tip : Notches the seam allowance of the raised profile on curves and corners.
