Freehand ruler foot

The Freehand Ruler Foot allows you to create beautiful freehand quilted patterns alongside ruler patterns. Its perfectly circular shape allows you to sew at a constant distance of 6 cm (1/4 inch) from the edges of the ruler pattern.

The red markers on the presser foot indicate the center of the presser foot, making it easy to align the presser foot and ruler when sewing. Openings in the front and side of the presser foot make it easy to see the needle.

• Completely loosen the ankle screw of the foot and remove the pin. Place the Freehand Ruler Foot around the pressure bar and
  attach it to the screw.
• Insert the machine.
• Select Straight Point.
• Set the machine to Foot mode with freehand ruler. The jaws will lower automatically. N.B. Once the feed dogs are lowered, the fabric is no longer fed by the machine. You need to move the fabric.
• Place the fabric under the presser foot and lower the presser foot.
• Bring the bobbin thread to the top by making a stitch. Keep both threads and sew a few stitches to start.
• Slide the edge of the ruler to the presser foot. Use your fingers to apply enough pressure to the ruler so that the presser foot gently glides along the edge without moving the ruler.
• Sew along the edge of the ruler. Towards the end, stop the machine, lift the presser foot, and slide the ruler into place to continue sewing the work.
• To change position, stop the machine, reposition the ruler, and sew in the direction that the ruler follows.
