With the flat-edged lace foot, you can easily add lace and embellishments to the top of the fabric, using the cover stitch to create beautiful hems and decorative effects.

1. Set the machine to the wide cover point.
2. Engage the flat-edged lace foot.
3. Use the default stitch settings. Edit them if necessary.
4. Insert the hem of the fabric into the bottom left section of the presser foot. Slide the fabric under the presser foot and needles.
5. Insert the decoration in the upper section on the right side of the presser foot. Slide the back of the foot past the needles, leaving a small part of the decoration behind the needles.

Tip: Use tweezers to slide the fabric and decoration into the correct position under the needles.

6. Lower the needles into the decoration and fabric. Lower the flat margin lace foot.
7. When sewing, hold the fabric with your left hand and the decoration with your right hand.
Tip: If you want to finish the hem of the fabric, press a 6 mm hem to the right of the fabric before inserting the fabric into the flat-margin lace foot. The lace will cover the raw hem of the fabric when sewn in place.
