Stitch-in-ditch means sewing into the finished seam of a quilt or binding. There is usually a higher edge in the seam, the side where the seam allowances were pressed, and the bottom side, the side without the seam allowances.

The Freehand Ruler Foot allows you to create beautiful freehand quilted patterns along with ruler models. Its perfectly circular shape allows you to sew at a constant distance of 6 cm (1/4 inch) from the edges of the ruler model.
