Drawstring foot

Use the drawstring foot to create embossed drawstring stitch applications. The drawstring thread is guided by the foot while the stitch is sewn on it.

1. Thread a 40 Madeira yarn on top, and put one thread per reel underneath.

2. Apply the drawstring thread in the foot guide. Place the drawstring thread so that it is carried properly in the foot and sew.

3. Select a narrow application point. (Follow the instructions for the applications, but set a width sufficient for the zigzag to sew over the drawstring.) On computerized sewing machines, select the programmed application stitch and carefully adjust the length and width for sewing over the drawstring thread. On other sewing machines, select zig zag stitch, length 0.3 -0.5, width 1.5- 2.

4. Draw a design directly on the fabric and sew it. The dimensions of the drawing will correspond to the magnitude value set on the application point.
