The transparent open foot for free-motion sewing is ideal for decorating printed fabrics or profiling appliqué or embroidered designs. It offers excellent seam visibility.
- Insert the transparent presser foot open for free-motion sewing.
- On the Designer, select menu V. The jaws are lowered automatically. On other models, follow the settings for free-motion stitching in the instruction booklet.
- Thread the needle and bobbin with sewing thread or decorative thread of your choice.
The stitch length is irrelevant, because when you lower the feed dogs, the machine no longer transports the fabric. You have to move the fabric manually. With the perfect visibility offered by the transparent open foot for free-motion sewing, you'll be able to follow patterns with ease.
Without moving the fabric, sew several stitches to secure the seam at the beginning and end.
