Adjustable buttonhole foot

The buttonhole foot has an adjustable guide for various button sizes and allows you to make several buttonholes of the same size.

Use the markings on the left "finger" of the presser foot to position the buttonhole. The center mark is positioned 15 mm from the edge of the button.

• Insert the adjustable buttonhole sensor foot and select a buttonhole.
• Place the button on the presser foot and push the guide as close to the button as possible.
• Lower the presser foot and sew. The machine sews the first column in reverse. Stop when the red mark on the guide reaches the beginning of sewing.
• Continue sewing the buttonhole.

To sew a buttonhole on elastic fabrics, it is advisable to reinforce it to increase its stability and prevent it from being excessively taut.
To reinforce the buttonhole, wrap a heavy thread around your "finger" behind the buttonhole sensor foot as shown in the figure.
