6 mm drawstring foot

Attach the presser foot to easily, quickly and precisely perform and insert profile cords into your upholstery and interior decoration jobs.
This accessory foot ensures professional finishes with both the pre-made and self-made profile.
It sews like the drawstring foot, but is suitable for large cords.

To cover the cord:

1. Use a 6mm cotton cord. Cut bias or reverse thread strips, wide enough to cover the cord and sewing allowance.

2. Attach the 6 mm ad drawstring foot. Select the straight stitch with the needle in the middle, length 3.

3. Place the cord on the wrong side of the fabric strip and wrap the fabric around the cord.

4. Place fabric and drawstring under the 6mm drawstring foot with the drawstring in the groove on the bottom of the foot.

5. Sew to cover the cord with the fabric.

To insert the covered cord directly into a seam:

1. Attach the 6 mm drawstring foot. Select the straight stitch with the needle in the middle, length 3.

2. Place the covered cord on the right side of the fabric along the seam. Place it under the 6mm drawstring foot with the hem drawstring in the groove of the foot.
Sew the cord to the fabric. Cut the seam allowance along the curves and corners of the seam.

3. Place the second piece of fabric on top, keeping the two sides together. The profile will be located between the two layers. Place the profile in the groove and sew keeping the first row of stitches at the top.
Adjust the width to move the needle slightly to the right to cover the first seam.
